Have you ever attended a lecture of any subject dedicatedly during
your graduation in college? If no then you are to be blamed, if yes then
full credit goes to the Teacher. This Teacher’s Day makes me peek into
memories of my college days in Rama Devi, Bhubaneswar. There would be
lectures where students would attend (only) for attendance and another
probable reason would be failing to escape before the Teacher enters the
hall. Thanks to the architect for making two doors in every
class room, one in the front and another in the back. That gives a
leverage to back benchers to leave the class in the midst of hundred
students without teacher’s notice. This used to be the saga of a typical
commerce student. However, students never used to apply this
stereotypical behaviour in one lecture and that was of Amit Sir’s
Business Law class. His lucid way of teaching and charismatic
personality was enough to grasp student’s attention on the subject. As
far I remember, that was the only class where there would be almost full
attendance and for the rest , back door was already there.
My deep respect and gratitude to such Teachers for easing the learning process and making us what we are today. Happy Teacher’s Day!!!
