Child Labor

“Stop Child Labor” – this is what we can find in the ads in the newspaper, campaigns, television etc. Oh did I say “Television”? this is one of the media where child labor is personified openly but still we don’t oppose it. We can see child labor in soaps, films, ads etc but we never oppose it because there we can see only their make up and the smile which doesn’t come from within but we aren’t able to see the stress, frown and the pressure behind it. Don’t you think it’s peevish on the part of the parents to make their children act in daily soaps in order to gain fame and money. I don’t say it’s bad to be a star at young age but not at the expense of taking away the child’ s innocence and deprived him/her of all the things that he should do at his/her age.

Age doesn't matter !!!

Suppose I say that my granny wants to ride a bike or say wanna play video games, what would be your reaction??? I know most of you gonna laugh or take it as a joke. But I wonder why such reactions comes from the youth and the middle aged people. Ain't the old people suppose to do the activity which the youth loves to do or is it that their age is not right for them or they can't do???
We never laugh when we see an old man or woman ruling our country then why we take it as something funny when we look at an old man learning alphabets, marrying, dating or dancing on the floor.
We don't need the right age to do the right things. It's all about passion and determination. Unless we don't take a plunge on the river , we can't learn swimming.

Cheers!!!!

Kolkata Memories

-->
Today in the morning I was listening to some instrumental tracks of Dilip Roy and Anand Shankar (My sis always stops me to play that music not because she dislikes it but it makes her sad ). These music has become a signature tune of us and make me nostalgic whenever I listen them. It is so because it reminds me of early 90s(year not age) spent in Kolkata. Everyday Papa used to play those music in the tape recorder and it was bound to come to our ears. Gosh!!! I am afraid if I can ever forget those moments. Those were my carefree childhood days spent with my siblings. I still remember the house in the Mayfair road where we used to stay, the Jeep around which I used to play hide and seek with my mom and sisters, the road in the Bright street where I used to have a walk with my papa , the evening prayer sung in the nearby mosque , ringing of the bells of fire brigade in the evening which my mom used to scare us by saying that those people will take us if we don’t complete our dinner…………How can I forget the yummy dahi(curd) which my father used to bring from the nearby sweet shop( Believe me Kolkata curd is the best of all……just love it!!!!)..So good were those days. It’s been so many years now but still I remember those moments and I remember them not because my memory is strong( if u ask me what I was doing when I was in class 10th, and I wont b able to tell u) but I have kept those memories in my heart rather than in my mind.
PS: In the pic-House in Kolkata where I used to stay with my Mom,Dad and my two sisters.

This message is dedicated to all my College pals...

I can understand dear friens that it's so tiring and irritating to stay inside the campus with so many rules. No comment abt the food( as we all knw tht if we compare our food with other hostels, thn it wud rank on top in terms of taste, variety and hygiene but "ghar ka khana ghar me hi ho sakta hai", right???) . but we are also aware of the fact tht how life will change after leaving ths b school. instead of looking only on the loopholes, if we see d other side thn we can knw how beautiful our life is now.... If you havn't live your life till now, thn live it now only coz after some months ths student's life gonna end and we will b entering into a new world whr we will b craving for these moments to come but alas we won't get. whr these moments will only b in memories, where every cup of coffee will remind us of our frns , whr we wud b getting money but the pleasure to spend it wont b thr...
some of us are waiting for d day whn thy wud b leaving ths institution but i bet one day these ppl wud remember these moments ..........so pls live ur life to d fullest coz these moments won't get repeated.

Tomorrow it's Republic Day!!! It's d day when before more then half a century we were celebrating freedom but today we are apprehensive to go outside with the fear of terrorists. What's the use of such freedom where being free also we r not free ?Rabinndra Nath Tagore had once quoted a poem"where the mind is without fear...." now we ask ourselves where is that mind without fear????
